Small Change That Changes Lives

Since 1945, Powder River Energy Corporation (PRECorp) has been helping people in northeastern Wyoming live better lives through accessible, affordable power and through involvement in many community endeavors.

Now we are proud to introduce "Operation Round Up," an innovative community fundraising program. Operation Round Up® is just what the name implies. Each month, PRECorp simply "rounds up" the electric bill of participating members to the next highest dollar. For example, a member's monthly bill of $52.73 would be automatically rounded up to $53.00, with the additional 27 cents going to the Operation Round Up® fund. The average "round up" is just $.50 each month or $6.00 per year per account.

Funds will be dedicated to projects in PRECorp's service area. Contributions will be limited to not-for-profit organizations such as schools and civic groups. "We're helping organizations that work to make our communities a better place to live," said Vice President of Customer Service, JoAnn Hoffine.

PRECorp's Operation Round Up® program will be an "Opt In" program. PRECorp members will sign up for the program by calling Customer Service at 1-800-442-3630, filling out and mailing the application below or by Clicking Here . "We understand that not everyone will want to participate. That's why we made it an opt-in program," said Hoffine. "If at any time a participating member wants to withdraw from the program, all they have to do is call. We'll send a form for them to sign and that's all it takes."

Powder River Energy Corporation Foundation, Inc. in its inception will be administered by the PRECorp Board of Directors who will initially oversee it; however, community members are sought to be on an independent board. Contributions to Operation Round Up® are tax deductible and all members will receive an accounting of their contributions at the end of the year.
